Carved wooden chair (possibly made of oak)
The chair belonged to Tom Sutherland of 6 MacDonald Road. In the 1960s, it was taken to the shop at 8 Castle Street where it remained for about 20 years. The donor has had the chair for 40years.
Mr McLeish, the Factor at Skibo Castle, used the chair annually for the crowning of the Show Queen at the Sutherland County Show....

Re the comment about a photo of the late Angus MacPherson sitting on a wooden bench outside his hotel playing the chanter with a tiny child on his lap yes Ur ri Went to Golspie tech 1958/59.
