Coarse woollen khaki tunic with buttoning down the front with four gold coloured buttons with the royal crest. The bottom (5th) button has been replaced by a smaller gold coloured naval button. The epaulettes are marked V Sutherland. The maker's label is sewn inside the collar (J & B Pearse & Co, 812 Old Ford Road, London E).
