Badge of the Highland Light Infantry, in brass? in shape of dimpled saltire with central emblem of a bugle (71st Foot) around the letters HLI surmounted by a crown. The motto ASSAYE is below the bugle, with an elephant (74th Foot) at the bottom. Complete with clip. Came from box of material from Grant family.
