Colour photograph of the long service medal awarded to William Matheson for his work as a gardener and then coachmen at Skelbo Farm. The reverse of the medal bears an inscription '36 Years William Matheson 1919'. William Matheson was the father of James Matheson railwayman who at one time worked on the Dornoch Light Railway (see series of objects 2008.124)
