Memorandum regarding portions of a Peat Moss with tree roots & recently found under High Water Mark on the Shore adjoining Golspie Links. 4th October 1881 written on front in biro. Writer refers to his brother, Dr Ramsay H Traquair, Fellow of the Royal Societies of London and Edinburgh and Keeper of the Natural History Department of the Museum of Science and Art Edinburgh. Last section appears to be in different handwriting. Two folded sheets.
