Burgh Minutes 1832 reference Meikle Ferry Disaster

Copy of Burgh Minutes of 1832 relating to a proposal to route the mail coach through Bonar bridge instead of Meikle ferry
Picture added on 23 September 2008
Comments:
In 1832, my great grandparents, John and Mary Anderson, moved from the Alness area to run the inn at South Bonar. It would seem that this co-incided with the decision to route the mail coach through Bonar.
Have you any further information?
