Photocopy of letter from George Dempster headed Glasgow Novr 26 1791, begins" As Achany may not be returned as yet to Suthd I give you the trouble of this to acquaint you that the plan for establishing a branch of the Cotton Manufactury in that County is now finally settled by the Means of Mr Geo McIntosh 3 Ross-shire Gentlemen of the name of Robertson Brothers & Mr Dale, - Our Subscription amots to £1800". Goes on to describe plans for building weaving houses and getting goods to Glasgow or London, and gives full list of subscribers who include Mr Gilchrist. Single sheet.
