British Legion Dornoch Branch correspondence Jan - Feb 74 concerning a visit to the Dornoch Branch by the National Vice-Chairman Major General Ian A Robertson CB, MBE, DL. The purpose of the visit was to reactivate local interest and the selection of the visiting officer 'from the North' was considered most appropriate given 'the national crisis' (the 'Winter of Discontent' 1973 - 74 when there were strikes and rota power cuts).
