A second copy of a brown linen card covered book "The First Seven Divisions" by Lord Ernest Hamilton (late Captain 11th Hussars) , published by Hurst & Blackett 1916. This copy (see also 2014.014.02) has a signature "Chloe" inside the front cover. This copy was also part of the Hetty Rose collection. Hetty Rose was the wife of Capt R H W Rose, 1st Bn Cameronians, who was killed in action on 22nd October 1914. The book, 312 pp, has a fold-out map of the retreat from Mons with further maps within the text and has an additional 24 pages with reviews and advertisements for other publications.The linen cover has spot marks and other abrasions.
