I think A C Neish is Alex Neish.
See the gentleman in the Pipe Band photo circa the 1950's at the right end of the back row in photo No: 10215 and in the Higher Grade Pupils of Dornoch Academy 1928, back row seventh from left in photo No: 10779. He was neighbour to my grandfather Thomas Sutherland (formerly of 6 MacDonald Road).
