Furness Postcard Collection - Lairg

Tinted postcard from the Furness Collection with an oval central photograph of Loch Shin with surrounding wording 'Greetings from Lairg' and four surrounding photographs of : a salmon leaping the Falls of Shin, Loch Shin loch side, Carbisdale Castle and the Sutherland Arms Hotel, Lairg
Picture added on 24 April 2008
Comments:
The photo in the centre was taken long after 1930, as the Shin Dam, pictured, was constructed in the late 1950s, about the same time as a row of council houses at the very left of that picture. Council houses of a slightly older vintage are also visible in the photo bottom left. I am 72 and have known Lairg since infancy.

Many thanks for your comment, I will amend the date to 1960 - Administrator

If this is either a Whiteholm or earlier J B White postcard it can be dated exactly by my friend the retired owner of both companies
