Skibo Rent Receipt Book

A black leather bound book with inscription 'Skibo Rent Receipt Book' in gold lettering. The inside page has a handwritten note "No 274 Heirs of the late Mrs Sarah Bethune Bonar Bridge" with pages recording rent payments from 1877 to 1936. The double entry pages have the Martinmas amount due on the left and the amount paid on the right. The first double page entry has a total at the foot with a receipt signature over a purple one penny Inland Revenue stamp. From 1905 there is a deduction for tax and from 1906 a hand stamp is used on the lefthand page 'MARTINMAS 19 Year's Feu Duty'.
