Embo women baiting lines
Embo women baiting lines

Cutting from the Northern Times with three photographs related to Embo lent to the paper by Morag Macdonald, daughter of Janet Grant Cumming. The third shows two women sitting in front of a pile of fish boxes and a fence with baskets at their feet baiting lines. A bearded man is just visible on the right. According to the caption, the woman in the centre might be Kate "Curly" Mackay, mother of Robert John Mackay and a Cumming by birth, but she is not the same person as the woman in 2007.181.01. She is more like Mrs Barbara Mackay in 2007.181.03. The woman on the left looks very like Mrs J Cumming in 2007.181.04.
