Monochrome photograph Dornoch Academy school concert 1958 - the cast of the fifth and sixth year play, Allison's Lad, a "Cavaliers and Roundheads" play from the English Civil War. The dramatis personae are:- Front (from left) Lindsay Robertson, Dornoch, as Francis Hopton; Rodney Mackenzie, Lochinver, as Col Sir William Strickland; Stewart MacKenzie, Lochinver, as Captain George Boyer; rear (from left) Willie Morrison, Durness, as the villain of the piece, the Roundhead Col John Drummond; Tommy "Hay" Mackay, Armadale, as the victim selected for premature execution, Tom Winwood, and Francis Carmichael, Dornoch, the understudy, who stepped in at short notice to play the part of Lieutenant Robert Goring, in place of Donald Munro from Achmelvich, who was ill.
