Dunrobin Rifle Club medal - Robert Mackay 1910

Gold medal (a) in the shape of an ornate shield with scrolls at the sides and below. A smaller shield shaped plaque in the middle is engraved DRC (Dunrobin Rifle Club). The reverse is engraved DUKE OF SUTHERLAND'S CUP WON BY ROBT MACKAY 1910. Stamped with the maker's mark WHH and hallmarks 9, .375, anchor, k (Birmingham 9 carat gold, 1909/10). The medal has a ring at the top which fits into a slot in the presentation box (b), which is covered in dark brown paper with a gold border stamped on the top. The base of the box is lined with purple velvet and the lid with pale turquoise silk.
