Long service medal - Robert Mackay 1895

Circular silver medal (a) with green ribbon and silver coloured clasp. The medal has a bust of Queen Victoria and the words VICTORIA REGINA on one side, and a scroll with FOR LONG SERVICE IN THE VOLUNTEER FORCE on the other. Engraved round the rim 163 CLR SERJT R. MACKAY 1ST SUTHERLAND H.R.V. 1895. The medal is in a box (b), which is covered in maroon paper. The base of the box is lined with dark blue velvet and the lid with cream silk.
