National Rifle Association ~ Bisley badge - Robert Mackay 1919

Embroidered raised badge in the shape of an oval with crown above, on a backing of blue felt, hessian or similar, and paper. The borders of the oval and crown are worked in metal thread with sequins. The words NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION are embroidered in black round the border, and BISLEY 1919 is worked in metal thread on a red felt background in the centre.

This is an interesting one. According to the NRA records he didn't take part in this year final. It could be one of his family won this and it has been added to the collection.

On double checking he did indeed shoot and win a 100 badge in 1919/20/21.
