The date must be wrong as in the late 1920 photo there's a porch.

Many thanks for this and your previous comment. Yes, the date of this image must be incorrect. The Manse was built before 1874 but we do not have the precise date and by 1921 (image 7920) there was a porch - looking at the foliage above which is in the same position as 7920 but smaller (as well as the same blinds in the window), I would assume that this image is a few year before 1921 and therefore in the late 1910's. I will amend the date to 1919 - Administrator
