A silk embroidered postcard decorated with embroidered a thistle and flowers and the message 'To My Dear Sister'. There are shield designs in the form of a red ensign bottom left and the flag of France at bottom right. The reverse bears the address of Mrs E Gray, Lairg Muir with a short message to" Dear Elsie" from Hector in which he states that he was in Rouen but "going away tonight to a supply base".
