Copy of a typewritten letter on flimsy paper from great-grandson of Neil Snodgrass to The Editor of the Glasgow Herald dated 22 January 1936. It refers to a published article on the life of James Watt which lists his inventions including one for the metallic packing of pistons. The writer refers to an obituary in the Glasgow Weekly Citizen (2018.048.02) which refers to the invention being by his great grandfather Mr Neil Snodgrass. The letter concludes with a request for publication of a correction.
