Commemorative plaque 5 Air Sea Rescue Unit

A commemorative plaque for No. 5 Air Sea Rescue Unit (ASRU) Royal Air Force, based at the south bank side of Meikle Ferry, Dornoch Firth during WW2 1939-1945. The plaque, "Presented to The People of Meikle Ferry by Members of the Air Sea Rescue & Marine Craft Section Club Royal Air Force", bears the badge of The ASR MCS Club with scroll 'The Sea Shall Not Hsve Them'. This gift was accompanied by a document providing details, with monochrome photographs of the Marine Craft Section and Air Sea Rescue craft based at Meikle Ferry - see next image and picture #11526
