Extract from Northern Times of 8th. February 2013 "From Our Old Files" with an account published on 8th February 1963 of the fueral service for the Duke of Sutherland held in the drawing room of Dunrobin Castle conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Alston, the parish minister, and the Rev. Frederick H. Fulton, minister of Dornoch Cathedral. The second extract published on 10th February 1938 records the annual sitting of the Friar's Court taking place in the Courthouse, Dornoch, on Tuesday 1st. March when the Sheriff will proceed to strike the Fria.r's Price for the 1937 crop of grain and victual.
