The first Bonar Bridge 1812 - 1892

Postcard with a monochrome photograph of the first Bonar Bridge built in 1812 shortly after the Meikle Ferry disaster. The triple arch bridge was built to a Thomas Telford design. It was destroyed by flood in 1892. (see picture #11421 for details of the flood)
