SHRV red and green diced knitted hose Pair of Sutherland Highland Rifle Volunteers red and green diced knitted hose with ribbed ankle and cuff at top.
These were given with the uniform of a Colour Sergeant Instructor of 1st Sutherland Highland Rifle Volunteers between 1881 and 1908, which belonged to William Bethune of Bonar Bridge. The hose to match the uniform should be the Seaforth diced red and white. Diced red and green hose was worn by the 79th Cameron Highlanders.
