Bridesmaids at a Skibo or the Johnny Bannerman wedding

Monochrome photograph of bridesmaids taken between the gates of Dornoch Cathedral (?) According to a label in Jimmy Bell's writing on the reverse of a similar photograph (picture #714) this was a "Skibo wedding? or Johnny Bannerman". (A comment received confirms this to be the wedding of Louise Carnegie, Andrew Carnegie's grand- daughter). Description stuck on the back of this photograph reads: "The bridesmaids, who looked charming, in dresses of deep shell pink satin crepe and Leghorn hats trimmed with velvet to tone. Their bouquets were of mixed sweet peas. The younger girls worn Leghorn pope bonnets. Miss Martha Kennedy left was maid of honour, and bridesmaids were Miss Veronica Lombe-Taylor, Miss Barbara Miller, Miss Elenour White, and Miss Margaret Bremner. The little train bearers are Miss Sheila Dickson, Miss Margaret Miller and Miss Margaret Upton." The photograph was taken by William Bremner, Photographer, Dornoch. (A photograph of the bride and groom is at picture #11367 with a Northern Times report of the wedding at picture #899)

Comments:
I believe this photograph was taken at the wedding of Louise Carnegie Miller, granddaughter of Andrew Carnegie, to J. F. Gordon Thomson on 28 July 1938. The pair married at Dornoch Cathedral and the reception was held at Skibo Castle.

Item No.899 'Wedding of Louise Carnegie Miller to J F Gordon Thomson' in the Historylinks Image Library is a newspaper article describing the event and the names of the bridesmaids and train bearers match up.
